What we exclude

We formulate without compounds that research has linked to endocrine disruption, hormone interference, or accumulation in human tissue.

The categories we exclude:

  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Synthetic musks
  • Undisclosed fragrance compounds
  • UV filters linked to hormone disruption
  • Plastic-derived contamination in formulation contact
  • Antimicrobial agents linked to endocrine effects
  • Synthetic colorants without functional purpose

Full ingredient lists are published on every product page. If you want to verify a specific compound, email hello@risevit.com.

What we research

We track emerging evidence on cyclic silicones, newer-generation UV filters, replacement plasticizers introduced after phthalate restrictions, and antimicrobial agents replacing triclosan.

Where the evidence becomes clear, we update our exclusion list and reformulate.

What we have not yet solved

We are honest about where we fall short of the standard we are working toward.

The Room Spray uses a plastic sprayer and cap because no commercially available alternative currently meets our requirements. We are researching alternatives to reduce the possible amount of microplastics in the spray.

We do not currently fund independent endocrine disruptor screening on our finished formulations. As our volume grows, we intend to commission this testing on lead compounds and publish the results.

Why this is public

We publish what we exclude, what we are still researching, and what we have not solved because anything less is not credible.

You should be able to verify any claim we make against the ingredient list on the bottle. You should know what we are working on. You should know what we have not figured out yet.

That is the deal.
